Father's Day Photoshoot and Cook Out

The most valuable thing in the world is family.  I can't remember a time in my life where I wasn't counting my blessing; one family member at a time!  My father is my rock!  He put up with me and that honestly says alot!

And even though he raises you and calls you his own, one day he has to let you go. He only hopes that you find a man worthy....um......willing to putt up with you!  I met Nick on eHarmony 3.5 years ago. We were pregnant a month into the relationship and we honestly feel that was God's plan.  We had Owen on Novemeber 23, 2008 followed by Charlotte on December 27, 2009.

This was the photo shoot I did with the kids this week.  Nick is a huge Red Sox fan but I have refused to give in (I am a Pittsburgh Fan) so it was a big surprise when he saw the pictures. I think I'm doing pretty well for it lasting a whole 15 miutes.  I mean a woman with a camera against 2 small children never lasts long!

My name is Meladie, but to most I'm Ms. Mel or most importantly Mom.  I have spent mainly years helping to raise other peoples children and now I am embarking on my own journey down the road of parenthood. 

Being a Mom has been my life career goal, with a minor in awesome housewife. To some my theories of raising children may be different but it makes perfect sense to me.  Teach them when they are young and they will learn more.  They were breastfeed, cloth diapered, early walkers, started potty training at a year and given forks with dinner.  Sometimes I have had to adjust things and that is okay. I don't write things in stone, I'm okay with putting my foot in my mouth once and I will tell you how I feel (before and after). I try to feed them healthy and let them make their own choices.

So what do you do with the rest of your time.I work 10-months out of the year as a Special Education Paraprofessional at the local elementary school where I went as a kid.  I also just started my career as an Independent Rendi Stylist. Why a blog..... I need somewhere to let out my creativity and opinions that make up my madness!  This will range from food to sewing to parenthood and most importantly my upcoming wedding which is one of my main endeavor this summer!
